Elvis' Story:

Elvis is a colt that I've wanted since 2002. I ran a full brother to Elvis's dam, by the name of Smoky By Lucky Boy.  This horse took me through high school and college and I won a lot of money, awards, and scholarships on him.  He was and still is an amazing horse. After winning the NDHSRA AQHA Girls Horse of the Year award, I contacted his breeder, Mary Blackmon to let her know about one of her horses winning this award.  I stayed in touch with Mary and ended up buying a half sister to Smoky from her two years later.  In 2005, Mary contacted me about Midnight By Lucky, a full sister to Smoky.  She was being offered for sale and needed to be sold quickly due to a divorce.  I had bought her sight unseen and shipped her up to Montana within a week. I had ridden many and seen a lot of Frenchmans Guy horses and had always wanted one, however I never thought I had a good enough mare to breed to him. Finally, I had that mare.  I sold one of my nicest prospects to save up for the stud fee.  The following spring we bred to Frenchmans Guy and in May 2007, Elvis was born.  I'll admit, I wanted a filly really bad, but I feel blessed to have the opportunity to own this great colt.

So far Elvis is turning out to be everything I hoped he would be and more.  We are excited for the future of Elvis!

We are extremely proud to stand Frenchmans Elvis, a 2007 son of the great barrel racing sire, Frenchman's Guy!

"Elvis" has everything that we are looking for in a sire.  Great conformation, strong bone, straight legs, good feet, trainability, grit, and athletisicm.  He wants to please and is just a true gentlemen.

Elvis is currently in training for the barrel futurities for 2012. In the meantime, he's been earning his keep out on the ranch where he's become very handy.  He's not afraid of hard work!

His first foal crop was born in 2010 and we could not be happier with what he produced.  These colts all have good bone, feet, and balanced conformation.  In addition to good looks, they've been gentle since they were born and were a breeze to halter break.  We look forward to these colts' futures as well as the future year's crop of colts.
